Rules and Regulations For the Canadian Climb Series 2010
Entry Into the Canadian Climb Series
- To Compete in Our Competitive Climb Series You must be a Platnium Member in good standing.
- You must have completed one (1) of the Charity Stair Climbs in and around Canada. Please see our Stair Climbing Event section for all events in Canada
- To be eligible for the Elite Catagory you must have placed within the top 15 of a major climb in Canada, U.S.A or an International Event. Please contact us in regards to this.
- To enter into the Masters Catagory you must be 40 years on or before the day of the race.
- You must be a "clean athlete" and adhere to the World Anti-Doping Regulations. Please see our list of banned substances for athletes
- You must sign a waiver of liability, and a doping form stating you are clean of any performance enhancing drugs.
Rules and Regulations for the day of the race.
- All athletes must check in to the registration table a minumum of one hour before the race starts
- All athletes must sign a waiver of liability and a doping control waiver form
- If there is a mass start, racers will be lined up according to fastest climber to slower climbers.
- Faster climbers pass on the left, slower climbers stay on the right.
- Use of the handrails is allowed.
- Hydrating stations will be provided just before climbing and a bottle of water will be provided to each climber as they exit the stairwell.
- While climbing, play fair! No pushing shoving, or foul language permitted.
- Listening to music through any portable music device is not permissible while racing
- All competitors must wear proper athletic shoes.
